About the Watch
To celebrate its 175th anniversary, Patek Philippe unveiled a collection of limited-edition watches featuring four distinct models: a grand complication, chronographs, world timers, and an hour striker with a jumping hour. These exclusive timepieces were made available solely to the brand's most esteemed clients.
Among the collection, one standout piece is the updated version of the jumping hour watch, first introduced during the 150th-anniversary celebrations in 1989. This model’s development required four years of dedicated research and engineering, resulting in four patents filed specifically for its innovative design. The 5275P-001 features a tonneau-shaped platinum case, meticulously hand-engraved with intricate floral motifs that echo the detailing on its dial. Its defining feature is the hour striker and jumping hour complication, which marks the passing of each hour with a clear, resonant chime. This chime can be easily silenced using the "Off/On" pusher located on the case. Powered by the manual-winding 32-650 HGS PS movement, this masterpiece keeps its intricate mechanism hidden behind a solid case back, engraved with the inscription: “Patek Philippe Genève 175e Anniversaire 1839–2014.” Completing the watch’s elegance, a glossy black alligator leather strap pairs with an engraved Calatrava Cross clasp. Limited to just 175 pieces, this exceptional timepiece stands as a tribute to Patek Philippe's enduring legacy of craftsmanship and innovation.
The Patek Philippe Caliber 32-650 HGS PS boasts four groundbreaking patents: First, a mechanism isolating the hour strike, enabling it to be disabled and disconnected from the movement. Additionaly, jumping seconds system using coaxial wheels, replacing traditional springs and levers for smoother operation. Thits gets complemented by a similar coaxial wheel system for the jumping hours, ensuring precise functionality. Finally, a synchronization mechanism allowing the seconds and minutes to jump simultaneously, eliminating lag.
This model comes double sealed and consists of Certificate of Origin dated 15th February 2017, Limited Edition attestation, Commemorative medal, Leather folder with pictures and instructions, Folder outer packaging and numbered sleeve, Leather wallet, Product literature, Wooden fitted presentation box and Box outer packaging.
